When power levels exceed the capacity of the OEM flex plate the center can be “ripped” out. This plate doubles the drive area thickness. This plate replaces OEM without any alterations.
 

1994-07 Billet SFI Flex Plate with flex!!  618-BFP  $475.00

This is a must with the high torgue Cummins in conjuntion with a triple disc converter that can transfer the torque with no slip.
 

NOTE: A SFI certified  flex plate is required on drag racing vehicles running 11.99 and quicker in the 1/4 mile and 7.49 and quicker in the 1/8 mile, or any vehicle exceeding 135mph. It was changed in 2008 from the 29.1 SFI specification to the SFI specification 29.3 for automatic transmission flex plates for diesel applications. The new rules for the flex plate requires that the material can not be a stamped metal as many OEM and aftermarket flex plates are. To maintain the SFI specification 29.3 requirements, the flex plate must be inspected every three years by the manufacture for recertification. When a unit is determined to be acceptable for continued service, a new conformance label marked with the inspection date will be issued.

The 12 valve Cummins has slower turbo spool than the later models. To accommodate this we designed the 19 series to achieve approx 400 rpm lower stall with 89% efficiency to allow turbo spool and still deliver your power to the road. This converter incorporates a steel CNC machined billet cover, steel CNC machined billet piston, hardened steel turbine spline with reinforced mounting, Torrington bearings front and rear, furnace brazed impeller, hardened hub, triple clutch discs, and modified stator.

This converter was designed for the 24 valve ISB engine. The 44 series converter stalls approx 1800 RPM. This converter will have nominal effects on 24 valve spool up and pull hard during fluid coupling mode. This converter incorporates a steel CNC machined billet cover and piston, hardened steel turbine hub with reinforced mounting, Torrington bearings at front and rear of stator, furnace brazed impeller, billet CNC machined radial pull stator, with triple clutch discs.
